Entry 16:Influenza A H1N1
Influenza A H1N1 is a subtype of influenza A virus and the most common cause of influenza (flu) in humans. It spreads the same way seasonal flu does: from person-to-person. It spreads mainly by coughing and sneezing by infected people and the touching of infected objects, then touching your nose or mouth. Argentina, Australia, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, China, Dominican Republic, Japan, Mexico, Panama, Philippines, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom and United States of America are just some of the infected countries in Asia. For example, the Singapore government makes it compulsory for the students to take their temperature daily. Yes. We can check if our temperature has gone into the H1N1 zone. They made sure that clinics are H1N1 ready. I make sure that I cover my mouth and nose when I sneeze and cough.

Entry 17: Classroom Cleanliness
I do not think that our classroom is clean. When I sit on the floor,I notice that the gaps on the floor are clotted with dirt. It is to ensure that students will not slip if they step on rubbish on the floor. Our classroom has a roster system that ensures that everyone plays a part in keeping the classroom clean. I sweep the floor, clean the whiteboard and arrange the tables and chairs on Wednesday along with my other group members. I have learnt that everyone has to be socially responsible to ensure that the school has to be kept dirt-free. I have learnt self-discipline and a mindset for excellence.
